Principal's Message

Dear Monte Vista Middle School Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

At Monte Vista, we believe every child deserves a purposeful life. It is our responsibility to make sure every student knows they belong here and that all students are challenged to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they will need for the opportunities ahead.

This year, we are continuing to strengthen a school culture where connection and learning go hand in hand. In our classrooms, students will be challenged to read and understand increasingly complex ideas, communicate their thinking, solve problems, and become more independent learners. Just as importantly, our teachers and staff will provide the support students need to take on those challenges and experience success.

We are

also committed to making sure Monte Vist

a continues to be a place where students feel safe, respected, connected, and valued. We will continue teaching and reinforcing the skills that help students build healthy relationships, show empathy, work through disagreements, make responsible choices, and contribute positively to our school, to our families, and to our community.

We look forward to strengthening the partnership between school and family throughout the year. We want our families to feel connected to Monte Vista, informed about their students' progress, and confident that the adults on our campus are committed to their children's growth and future.

We made important progress together last year, and there is much more ahead of us. I am excited about what our students will accomplish and grateful for the opportunity to continue building a Monte Vista community in which every Bobcat belongs, grows, and prepares to serve a purpose beyond themselves.

Welcome back, Bobcats!
